Structural Insulated Panels are an extremely versatile construction material that can be used in a broad range of buildings as you will have seen from our website. Modular Group manufacture the panels to a high-quality process to ensure that you have the best materials available for your project.
Our core range of panels are 2440mm x 1220mm, in 6 standard depths. 72mm, 97mm, 122mm, 147mm, 197mm & 222mm.
A cutting service is available, at an additional cost. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
PANEL CORE
Rigid Foam 466LV by Isothane is a two part component, modified polyurethane injected rigid foam giving a nominal density at 42 kg/m3.
T he system is processed at a ratio of 100 parts 466LV to 125 parts M27 by weight, and parts LV to 108 parts M27 by volume.
Rigid Foam 466 LV contains no CFCs or HCFCs, and is therefore ideal for applications where environmental issues are of utmost importance.
It has an ozone depletion value of zero. The blowing agents used have very low Global Warming Potential (less than 5) and a low thermal conductivity. Tested to BS EN 1607:2013 for determination of substrate adhesion strength perpendicular to faces.
Tested to BS EN 1604:2013 fro determination of dimensional stability under specific temperature and humidity conditions.
PANEL FACE
Uvalue Sips system comprises of BBA and IAB Approved Smartply Max 11mm Internal & External
Oriented Strand Board (OSB) GRADE 3 facings. OSB /3 has a thermal conductivity value λ of 0.13 W/mK. Manufactured to speciification EN 13986 and EN 300:2006, OSB/3 comprises of strands of softwood bonded together using a formaldehyde free synthetic resin.
The OSB boards are responsibly sourced and comply to FSC chain of custody requirement.
Certified by NHBC (UK) and Homebond (Ireland ) for use in accordance to Building regulations. CE and UKCA declaration of performance.

FIRE
Panel internal and external OSB have a generic Class 3 surface spread of flame to BS476: Part 7:1987. SIPs are used as part of a through wall build up and thus pass the requirements of BS476 Part 21.
Reaction to Fire Class E (BS EN 13501-1).
